An inspiration to outdoor citizens everywhere: HOP, recently discovered another 'outdoor citizen organization', founded by penniless and caring outdoor citizen Cathy Ashenfelder, in Clearwater Florida. From all indications, Cathy, a strong, courageous, single, compassionate and dedicated female, whose residence is a van - saw and acted on a need to get something going for herself, and other outdoor citizens in her area. Similar to our 'outdoor citizen organization vision at HOP, Cathy's plan is also working She has submitted over 7,000 resumes, only to remain unemployed - while volunteering 70 to 80 hours weekly to build herself and other people. Go Cathy!!
Similar to the manner in which HOP, the Outdoor Citizens Coalition of San Clara Count began and has operated (until 2 weeks ago); she has worked to help outdoor citizens in her region, and she has done so without any financial support. Kudos to Cathy. She, is a model for outdoor citizens everywhere, and proof that we have to help ourselves to overcome the fix that we have found ourselves in - and WE WILL SUCCEED!
